Plant Superintendent Plant Superintendent Summary Direct, supervise and coordinate all the operations and functions of the division’s production shops including: epoxy coating of bar material, fabrication of epoxy coated concrete reinforcing steel bars, fabrication of plain concrete reinforcing steel bars, and including the auxiliary and supplemental operations of maintenance, shop clerical support and warehousing, as well as a delivery trucking and rail operation. Nature and Scope: This position is primarily responsible for optimum utilization of available material, personnel and equipment to meet the Corporation’s coating, fabricating and delivery requirements for epoxy coated reinforcing steel, as well as similar responsibility for the Sterling Division’s uncoated fabricated reinforcing steel operations also located at this plant. The incumbent has the responsibility for determination and ordering of stock requirements from internal sources for the fabricating plant, and is also responsible for final delivery of our product to the customer, coordinating the shipping to ensure prompt and complete delivery, supervision of the traffic operation, and the shop office functions.
